No changes made to the agenda. Application of James Allison to request Preliminary Plat Extension for Big Oak Subdivision located on Holiness Campground Road. Total acreage is 36.43. Tax map and Parcel is 077-043. Ms. Carter gave a summary of the request, noting the project had previously received preliminary plat approval as well as land‑disturbance approval, with the original approval dating back to roughly 2020 and is seeking extension of the preliminary plat. Ms. Owensby provided an explanation of state law, case law, and county ordinance regarding extension limits. She reported that Georgia law generally allows no more than two extensions and that White County’s ordinance is more restrictive than state law. She stated that the issuance of a land‑disturbance permit does not constitute sufficient activity to justify granting further extensions. She also explained that granting extensions beyond the allowable limit could create concerns about inconsistency among applicants.
