City of Wills Point, Texas Proposed Budget For the Fiscal Year October 1, 2026 - September 30, 2027 This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by an amount of $155,381, which is a 6.03 percent increase from last year’s budget. TYPE A EDCS — DEVELOPING INDUSTRIES The Type A sales tax is primarily intended for manufacturing and industrial development. EDCs may use Type A revenue to fund land, buildings, equipment, facilities expenditures, targeted infrastructure and improvements for projects. Wills Point EDC was established in April 1991 as a 4A Corporation under the Development Corporation Act of 1979. As a 4A Corporation, the EDC receives ½% sales tax monthly from the state of Texas.
