The Wills Point City Council will amend Resolution 25‑19 to update the Centralized Master Fee Schedule. The amendment adds or revises fees for pool hall licenses, coin‑operated machine taxes, sexually oriented business licenses, dangerous‑dog insurance and registration, animal control, construction permits, and garbage collection. All new fees will be posted publicly and become effective on February 2, 2027. Payments are due each January unless otherwise noted.

RESOLUTION 25-33 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WILLS POINT, TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION 25-19, THE CENTRALIZED MASTER FEE SCHEDULE, TO ESTABLISH WATER AND WASTEWATER CAPACITY FEES WHEREAS, pursuant to Texas Local Government Code section 51.001, the City Council may adopt an ordinance, rule or police regulation that is for the good government, peace or order of the City or the trade and commerce of the City; WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is necessary and in the best interest of the City and its residents to amend the centralized master fee schedule containing all of the fees charged by the City Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTy COUNCIL OF THE City OF WILLS POINT, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The following fees shall be implemented by the City of Wills Point, Texas, and placed in the amended Centralized Master Fee Schedule, which shall be fully accessible to the general public and maintained by the City Secretary at the City Office. SECTION 2. The fees related to Customer Use of City Services, as referenced in Section 17, are hereby revised as reflected below. 1) License fee for pool halls and game rooms. TYPE A EDCS — DEVELOPING INDUSTRIES The Type A sales tax is primarily intended for manufacturing and industrial development. EDCs may use Type A revenue to fund land, buildings, equipment, facilities expenditures, targeted infrastructure and improvements for projects. Wills Point EDC was established in April 1991 as a 4A Corporation under the Development Corporation Act of 1979. As a 4A Corporation, the EDC receives ½% sales tax monthly from the state of Texas. This sales tax was created for the main purpose of creating and retaining primary jobs. To date, Wills Point EDC has assisted with growing over 500 primary jobs. Council to consider amendment of FY 2024‑25 budget

The Wills Point City Council will approve the December 9, 2025 meeting minutes and the monthly budget, then move into a closed executive session for legal advice on pending litigation. In the open session the council will vote on Ordinance 26‑01 to amend the 2024‑25 budget, Resolution 26‑01 to extend a real‑estate note with City National Bank for the City Hall property purchase, and other infrastructure and financing items. Additional items include a water‑main reroute on Tawakoni Drive and Highland Avenue, an update to TxDOT assistance for the Van Zandt County Regional Airport, and a status report on repairs to the Rose Monument.
