City Planner, Melissa Houtsma presented a summary of the proposed changes in the ordinance
amendment, including definitions, listed uses, and a change from the current list format for allowable
uses to a table format.
The public hearing was opened at 6:44 pm.
With no one coming from the public coming forward to speak, and no one calling in on the phone
line to speak on the items, the public hearing was closed at 6:45 pm.
A motion was made by commissioner Hoff to recommend that the city council approve the
ordinance amendment as written by city staff.

City Planner, Melissa Houtsma presented a summary of the proposed outdoor patio seating area as
well as the reasoni ng behind the application for an on -sale liquor establishment . The current and
previous occupants of the restaurant have been operating with an on-sale liquor licens e; however,
there was no formal conditional use permit on file . Therefore, the application s currently being
reviewed, if approved, would formally bring the property into compliance as well as all the addition
of an outdoor seating area.
