PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, PARA TRANSIT SERVICE,
MAINTENANCE PAYROLL AND CAPITAL EXPENDITURES; AND FURTHER
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING CHUCK D. CHARLES, MAYOR, TO
EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS GRANT.
FISCAL NOTE: FY2026 annual funding for operating costs, preventative
maintenance, payroll and capital expenditures = $893,982.00
SUMMARY: Annual split letter for Ashland Bus System funding with Tri-State
Transit Authority and Lawrence County Port Authority. Federal 5307/5340 FTA
funds are apportioned to the Huntington, WV, Kentucky and Ohio Urbanized Area.
These funds are for operating costs, preventative maintenance, payroll and capital
expenditures.

Final adoption of change order no.2 for Roberts Drive screen project
The board will vote on final adoption of five ordinances: a $9,467 change order (ARPA-funded) for the Roberts Drive screen replacement project, a $53,860 contract for fire station shower replacements, a $39,000 employee health screening program, a $367,500 contract for High Knob water tank rehabilitation, and a $2,023.60 change order for the 13th Street underground tank project. The consent agenda includes payments for engineering services and a donation of used tasers to Boyd County Detention Center.
