[Music] [Applause] Hi everyone, my name is Sydney Tinleen and I'm one of the Clearwater Sisters of the Young Ambassadors. First I want to say a huge thank you to City Council for the scholarship. It was honestly a life-changing trip. So for my first trip, so for the first week we went to Tokyo Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Nara, and Hiogo. We got to see so much. In Tokyo we saw the Skytree and City View from really high up, which was crazy because the city goes on forever. In Nara we saw temples, deer, and shrines. And in Hiroshima we saw the Peace Memorial. I also got to do some Japanese calligraphy on a wooden board. It's harder than it looks. One of my favorite parts of going to Japan was going to S ucker, go to junior high school for two full days. School in Japan is really different from here. They have to take their shoes off when they go in and students clean the school themselves. And they even eat lunch in their classrooms. Everyone was so welcoming. I was a little nervous at first because of the language barrier, but all we needed was Google Translate and hand motions and we were laughing the whole time. For the second part of my homestay trip, I stayed with She ena Takayama. She actually stayed with my family in Clear water first and then I went to stay with her family in Nag ano. It was really cool to see her again in Japan. Her family was amazing. They took me everywhere. In Nagano there are huge mountains with snow on top even in the summer. We did so many fun activi …

Hola. A mi derecha, el concejal Mike Menino. A su derecha, el concejal Dave Ulbritton. A su derecha, nuestra admin …
