The council approved a 3-year collective bargaining agreement with the FOP Civilian Unit (3.5% wage increase in 2026, CPI in 2027-28), authorized the purchase of 34 self-contained breathing apparatus for the fire department using a FEMA grant, and authorized a $309,697.72 contract for inclusive playground equipment at Glidden Park. Other actions included approving an IDOT funding agreement for road signalization, a facility use agreement with the Gators Swim Club, and appointing Emily George to the Park and Recreation Advisory Commission. The consent agenda (bills, payroll, minutes, surplus property) was also approved. All votes were unanimous (5-0).
