The Disability Awareness Commission unanimously supported adding Hanna Berg and Kennady Wendling as new members, pending City Council approval. Planning Commission

Disability Awareness Commission

The Harrisburg Disability Awareness Commission will review a splash pad design to present to the April Parks and Recreation Board. It will also decide dates for the Action TrackChairs event, a Lego event, and an AAC Storytime. Library Board

The Harrisburg Community Library Board will review February 2026 financial and usage reports, discuss the proposed Harrisburg Reads program, and consider professional development opportunities for board members. The agenda also includes a review of Chapter 5 of the South Dakota State Library’s Public Library Trustee Handbook and an invitation to attend the Parks and Recreation Board meeting on the splashpad. The board will set the date for the next meeting and adjourn.

Parks Board

The Harrisburg Parks, Recreation & Forestry Board will meet on February 11, 2026 to consider several agenda items. After routine approvals, the board will review a recap of a recent park event, consider the location for a concrete cornhole set, discuss plans for an ice rink, and discuss improvements to Central Park. No decisions are recorded in the agenda.
