It is August 18, 2026, about 6:00 in the evening. And this is the Paradise Valley Planning Commission meeting . Please call the meeting to order. I guess, Chair, before we call the meeting to order, just want to introduce Orly Young. I know you met her through email. She's our new deputy clerk, management analyst for the department. And we'll be managing our meeting minutes and things of that nature. Related to your duties, at least. Welcome. You're welcome. Nice to meet you. Welcome, Orly. We're very excited to have you here and look forward to working together into the future. Great. Can we just call the roll? Yes. We'll call Commissioner Brown. Here. Commissioner Covington. Commissioner Curtis. Here. Commissioner Nagle. Here. Commissioner Nagle. Commissioner Nasekis. Yeah. Good job. Commissioner Rose. And Commissioner Rose. And Chair. Chair George Ellis. Thank you, Orly. See, there you go. Two Greek names in one night. I think you get a gold star. Yeah. Okay. At one or more times this evening, as necessary, we may need to confer with the town attorney for legal advice. If that happens, we will go into executive session as authorized by statute. We have a few things on our agenda this evening. The first is the approval or amendment of the amendment of the amendment of the amendment of the minutes. And then we have a study session item. No public hearings. No action items. Then there's potentially public body reports and staff reports. I'm going to go to the next slide. Movi …

All right, we have some action items coming up here next. The first is a procedural item that will suspend the council rule regarding that at least four council members should attend a meeting in person. This is a routine procedural matter that we have used in the past when we when a majority of the council or a quorum of the council attends by Zoom. Thank you. All right, with that, I'd ask if there is a motion. I move to approve suspending section seven of the town council rules of procedure regarding remote attendance at council meetings. I second. All right, it's been moved by Council Member Pace and seconded by Council Member Thomason. Is there any discussion on the motion? All right all those in favor please say aye. Aye. Any opposed? Motion passes. Okay, next up we have got a second item, is discussion and possible action to approve resolution 26-12 approving the 2026 canvas of the primary election held on July 21st, 2026 as it will be presented by Duncan Miller. Bien. Hola, Jim. Bien, soy Quinn Williams. Me gustaría presidir esta reunión. George, ¿puedes pasar lista? Sí. Miembro de la Junta Barnes. Presente. Miembro de la Junta Contadino. Miembro de la Junta Kirkendall. Aquí. Miembro de la Junta Ozer. Miembro de la Junta Petsis. Aquí. Y Presidente Williams. Aquí. Tenemos quórum. No me llamaste, George. Entonces...

So I hereby call this April 15, 2026 meeting of the Town of Paradise Valley Board of Adjustment to order and welcome you all. I am Eric Leapson, Chair of the Board, my final chair of meeting after serving my second two-year term. Please silence phones. I don't know if that applies. Let's see. Should I go into the preamble here? I don't think we need to. Yeah, you can skip it. That's fine. Okay. We're going to skip. We have no cases. So I think we could skip straight to our action items. So the purpose of the meeting tonight is to elect a new chair. And I would like to -- well, I can open the floor to nominations or if you'd like me to proceed, I have one of my own. So I would like to place in nomination the name Hope Ozer. I believe she is extremely well-qualified veteran of this board. She knows the system well and I have great respect for Hope . It's been great working with her and she's sort of mentored me through a few of these meetings. And therefore, I'd like to place Hope Ozer in nomination for the next board chairperson. Is there a second? That all seconded is Ken Barnes. Okay. Is there any other nominations for additional candida …
