Judson ISD board weighs tax rate, budget, hiring policy; minutes pending
The Judson ISD Board of Trustees held three meetings in the past two weeks, but official minutes have not yet been published, so the outcomes of those meetings are not yet known. The agendas included setting the 2026 tax rate, approving budget amendments, and temporarily suspending a teacher-hiring policy. The board also has two special meetings scheduled in the coming week.

Aug. 15 – Public hearing and special meeting on tax rate
The board held a public hearing on the proposed 2026 tax rate, followed by a special meeting. The agenda for the special meeting included:
- A resolution designating an officer to calculate the No-New-Revenue Rate and Voter Approval Tax Rate.
