Newport News School Board holds sessions on personnel, academics, and director hires
The Newport News School Board held three meetings on Aug. 18, 2026, covering personnel actions, preliminary academic performance, and closed-session discussions on two director positions. Minutes have not yet been published, so no decisions are publicly confirmed.
Regular session (6:30 p.m.)
The board's regular session agenda was dominated by a consent agenda and a separate personnel actions item. The consent agenda included:
