Celina's City Council is scheduled this week to consider awarding contracts worth up to roughly $78 million combined for street maintenance and a water reclamation facility, according to the July 14 council agenda. City Council — July 14
The council agenda lists several contract and land items:
- Award the street maintenance project to Apple Pavement Services, up to $8,076,273.48.
- Award the water reclamation facility project to Drake General Contractors, up to $70,346,850.00.
- Approve a zoning ordinance for Lightbridge Academy Daycare.
- Authorize a land exchange for Sunset Boulevard right-of-way.
- Consider annexation of 5 acres for Ramble Infrastructure.

Economic Development Corporation — July 7
The Celina Economic Development Corporation was scheduled to hold a closed executive session to seek legal advice and deliberate commercial or financial information on three development projects: Project Kingsmen 2.0, Project Cypress, and Project Latera. The board was then set to reconvene in open session to consider any necessary actions. A worksession was also listed to discuss a downtown retail store and to review the Fiscal Year 2026–2027 CEDC budget.
TIRZ No. 11 Board — July 14
The Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number Eleven Board of Directors was scheduled to act on a resolution approving project expenditures for TIRZ No. 11 (Stovall). The board was also set to hold an executive session to discuss Project Kingsmen 2.0.
