Passaic boards set hearings on rent disputes, apartment projects, and liquor license renewals
Passaic residents have several land-use and licensing decisions on the horizon as multiple boards released agendas in recent weeks. Because minutes have not yet been published for any of these meetings, the items below reflect what boards planned to consider — not confirmed outcomes.
Planning Board: 9-unit apartment at 54 Holdsworth Court
The Planning Board scheduled a virtual meeting for July 8, 2026, with a vote-only item on Docket #PB26-06: a two-story, nine-unit apartment building at 54 Holdsworth Court in the R-3 zone. The same agenda lists a five-story mixed-use development at 181 Jefferson Street (Docket #PB26-04) with 14 residential units, and construction of an accessory dwelling unit on the third floor at 102 Spring Street in the R-2 zone (Docket #PB26-07). The board also planned to appoint a Class I Commissioner and take up resolutions concerning 110-112 Howard Avenue and 181-185 Lexington Avenue.
Zoning Board: Doctor's office to school at 135 Passaic Ave

Rent Leveling Board: Disputes on increases up to 15.38%
