Dover boards lined up climate plan vote, conservation hearings in late July; minutes pending

Board of Selectmen — July 23
The Selectmen's agenda for July 23 included a vote to award a professional services agreement to Kim Lundgren Associates, Inc. for the MVP 2.0 Planning and Climate Action Plan consulting work. The board was also scheduled to vote on adopting a Native Species Planting Policy on municipal properties.
Other agenda items: discussion of drought status and water restriction enforcement; consideration of updates to board roles and responsibilities guidelines; acceptance and expenditure of a $1,000 gift from Metafora Family to the Police Department and a $1,000 gift to the Fire Department; and approval of 2026 special one-day liquor licenses for multiple dates in July and August.

Conservation Commission — July 22 and July 24
The Conservation Commission's July 22 agenda listed public hearings on several property compliance requests:

On July 24, the Conservation Commission met jointly with the Open Space Committee to discuss Town-Wide Land Management Plan project goals, review the FY27 budget, and address trail maintenance including the Springdale bog bridge. The agenda also included approval of recent minutes.
Board of Appeals — July 20
The Board of Appeals scheduled a site walk at 45 Pine Street on July 20 as part of an open hearing on Dori and Todd Barclay's application for a special permit to add a second story and stairs to an existing non-conforming garage, staying within its current footprint.
Park & Recreation Commission — July 24
The Park and Recreation Commission met remotely via Zoom to vote on designating a commissioner as the weekly bill approver for the department. The agenda also included accepting prior meeting minutes.
