Ely Planning Board directs staff to draft RV storage code update; council to weigh $2.2M water loan
The Ely Planning & Zoning Board on Aug. 10 directed staff to draft an updated city code governing storage of vehicles and recreational vehicles in residential side and rear yards. That was the only formal decision made at recent meetings; other bodies met for routine or preliminary business.
Planning & Zoning (Aug. 10)
The board approved its agenda and minutes from the March meeting by a 5-0 vote. It then discussed the existing code on vehicle and RV storage in residential yards and directed staff to prepare a revised draft for review at the next meeting. No final code change was adopted.
Mayor & City Council (Aug. 3)
The council met with several items on its agenda, though no minutes have been published yet. The most significant proposal was a plan to borrow up to $2,200,000 through a Water Revenue Loan and Disbursement Agreement. Other agenda items included:
- Approval of a chip and seal street maintenance project
- Approval of a new diesel tank at Public Works
