Goochland Board of Supervisors to vote on budget amendments and permit renewals Aug. 4
Goochland County's Board of Supervisors is set to act on more than $19 million in budget transfers and two conditional use permit renewals at its Aug. 4 meeting, while residents await published outcomes from three county board meetings held over the past two weeks.
Board of Supervisors — Aug. 4 agenda
The Board will hold public hearings on two conditional use permit renewals:
- **Short-term rental permit** for a 524-acre property at 3940 Old Stage Road (CU-2026-00006).
- **Biosolids storage permit expansion** at 2801 Chapel Hill Road (CU-2026-00007).
The Board will also consider two budget amendments:
- An amendment to the **Fiscal Year 2027 budget** adding **$83,752** in grant revenue for the Commonwealth's Attorney and Fire-Rescue.
- An amendment to the **Fiscal Year 2026 budget** involving **$19,326,915** in categorical transfers.
Additional items include a presentation on capital impacts, a resolution to amend the FY2027 budget, and consideration of ordinance amendments covering water and sewer connections, animal violations, and service district expansion.
Board of Zoning Appeals — July 20
The Board of Zoning Appeals was scheduled to hear Appeal AP-2026-00005, filed by Big Daddy's Oilville Office Land Holding Corporation, LLC, regarding Plan of Development POD-2024-00019 for 1164 Tricounty Drive. The board was set to determine whether the appeal was timely filed and address the voiding of the plan of development. Recreation Advisory Commission — July 21
The Recreation Advisory Commission was scheduled to review its FY26 Annual Report and the Director's report. The agenda also included discussion of the Wall of Fame, a Master Plan Recap, and a Recreation Advisory Committee Vacancy. Minutes have not yet been published.
Economic Development Authority — July 22
The Economic Development Authority agenda included a motion to convene a closed meeting to discuss a prospective business or industry that has not yet announced its plans, under Virginia Code 2.2-3711(A)(5).
