City Council — July 15

City Council — July 13

Planning Commission — July 14

The Planning Commission was scheduled to review a request to add approximately 29.08 acres to the Redlands 360 Planned Development Outline Development Plan, increasing the total area to 629.08 acres. Proposed modifications to bulk and lighting standards south of Redlands Parkway and Highway 340 were also on the agenda, along with proposed amendments to Zoning and Development Code Sections 21.07.040 and 21.09.060(a)(1) regarding preservation of significant trees.

A separate Planning Commission workshop scheduled for July 9 was cancelled; no business was conducted.

Forestry Advisory Board — July 9

The board's agenda noted that trunk injections were completed on 450 ash trees over 6.5 weeks. Discussion items included proposed standards for natural areas, the IRA Irrigation Grant, the 2026 Licensed Contractor Day of Service, and an update on Four Canyons Parkway. The Water Conservation Specialist was also scheduled to speak.

Parks and Recreation Advisory Board — July 9

Liquor Authority Approves All July 1 Applications; Council Moves Monument Vistas Annexation Forward

The Grand Junction Liquor Licensing Authority approved every application on its July 1 agenda, including a new related facility for Sodexo's Campus Liquor Complex at 885 Kennedy Avenue and a transfer of ownership for Horizon Liquor. No public opposition was voiced, and all items were approved as requested.

Liquor Licensing Authority — July 1 (Decided)

The authority approved retail liquor store and tasting permit renewals for four establishments: Teller Arms Liquor, City Market #51, Circle K, and Fisher's Liquor Barn.

It approved the addition of a related facility at 885 Kennedy Avenue to Sodexo's Campus Liquor Complex license. It also approved a modification of premises for Cornhole Etc., expanding its licensed area to include an outdoor patio.

Horizon Liquor's transfer of ownership to Ariam Liquor, LLC was approved. A special event permit was granted for the Western Slope Harley Owners Group's "2026 Pre-Sturgis Party" on August 1, 2026.

City Council — July 1 (Agenda Only, No Minutes Published)

Council was scheduled to introduce a zoning ordinance for the 41.09-acre Monument Vistas annexation at 888 21 Road, zoning it Residential Low-5, with a public hearing set for July 15, 2026.

Other items on the agenda included introduction of zoning code amendments regarding certified irrigation designers and bicycle parking, with public hearings also set for July 15.
