Isanti County boards tackle plats, wheelage tax, and zoning in busy July stretch
Isanti County's boards and commissions covered a wide range of land-use, budget, and infrastructure topics in the first half of July. However, minutes have not yet been published for any of the recent meetings, so the items below reflect what was on each agenda — not confirmed outcomes.
County Board of Commissioners — July 7
The County Board's July 7 agenda included approval of final plats for three developments: Maple Ridge Pines, Gracie Acres, and Black Fox Farm. The board also scheduled a public hearing on a proposed wheelage tax increase, which would affect county road funding.
Other agenda items were a BNSF Construction and Maintenance Agreement, a 2026–2027 portable restroom contract, and second-half payments of appropriations to community organizations. The board also planned to discuss 2027 budget goals.
Planning Commission — July 8
The Planning Commission set a public hearing to consider preliminary plats for three subdivisions: Braham Compost Site, Rolling Ponds Second Addition, and Porters Plot.
