Village Council — July 9
A quasi-judicial public hearing was scheduled on a dock-length variance request at 18 Avacado Street on Upper Matecumbe Key. The applicant, Glen Boe & Associates for David Van Sant, proposed a pier-type dock with a 740-square-foot footprint: a 4-by-145-foot access walk and an 8-by-20-foot terminal platform. The meeting also included general public comment.
Historic Preservation Commission — July 15

Ron Levy Aquatic Center History and Records Wall Task Force — July 15
The task force reviewed the Call to Artists requirements, location, process, and scoring, and planned pool history and records board requirements. The proposed timeline calls for selecting three artists for detailed proposals and budgets by August, evaluating proposals and making a selection recommendation by November, and holding an installation celebration in May.
