Jackson County committees approve $542,000 in insurance payments, ADA courthouse upgrades, and water privatization resolution
Jackson County's Finance Administration Committee approved more than $542,000 in HOPE Trust insurance payments and directed surplus funds toward making courthouse entrances ADA-compliant during its July 13 meeting, according to official minutes.
The committee unanimously approved three insurance-related payments: HOPE Trust Dental Vision Claims of $18,222.77, HOPE Trust Medical Administration payment of $375,487.00, and On-Demand Claims of $148,608.06. It also unanimously approved the use of surplus funds for ADA Compliance of Courthouse Entrances. Board Member Travel Expenses were deferred to the Full Board due to a noted error. June 8, 2026, meeting minutes were approved unanimously.
Executive Committee appointments
The Executive Committee, acting on July 9 from official minutes, took three unanimous votes: approving June 4, 2026, meeting minutes, reappointing Richard V Turner to the 708 Mental Health Board, and approving Dorothy Patton for the Jackson County Housing Authority.
Legislative and Public Safety Committee
