Bluffton committees weigh development plans, stormwater rules, and historic district changes

Bluffton's advisory and review bodies turned to land use, stormwater standards, and historic district rules over the past two weeks, though official minutes have not yet been published for any of the meetings. Several committee meetings were canceled for lack of agenda items or quorum.

Town Council workshop takes up historic district ordinance, stormwater agreement

The Town Council held a quarterly workshop July 21 that included the first reading of an ordinance amending Unified Development Ordinance sections 3.18 and 3.19, which govern historic district permits for relocation and demolition of non-contributing resources in the Old Town Bluffton Historic District. Watershed committee weighs stormwater ordinance

The May River Watershed Action Plan Advisory Committee met July 23 to discuss a proposed ordinance amending Chapter 23 of the Unified Development Ordinance concerning stormwater design standards.
