Pacific boards weigh skatepark funding, data center moratorium, and zoning changes
Pacific's city boards and commissions had a full schedule last week, with items ranging from a $211,200 skatepark funding package to a proposed 12-month moratorium on data center development. Board of Aldermen — July 7
The Board of Aldermen agenda included the most consequential items of the week. The board was scheduled to hold a public hearing and consider second reading of an ordinance to rezone four parcels totaling 7.89 acres from NU Non-Urban to R-1B single-family residential. The parcels are 1854 Old Gray Summit Road and 587, 573, and 584 Katie Lane. The item was continued from prior meetings.

Meramec Valley Historical Society — July 8
The Historical Society agenda included old business updates on fundraising efforts and calendar sales, a director report on recent activities and tourism metrics, and an alderman report. The agenda noted the alderman liaison was absent, with no updates provided.
