The Desert Hills Premium Outlets expansion would add 47,915 square feet and 283 parking spaces, plus a new signal at Seminole Dr & Malki Rd. Other items included a 29,600-square-foot industrial building with 3,130 square feet of office space for Rangel Steel Erectors on 30.72 acres; a convenience market with off-sale beer/wine/spirits license in a 12,000-square-foot retail center on Hwy 74; continued use of Olivet University's 853-acre campus with 43.62 acres developed; and a cannabis retail amendment to reduce premises by 1,362 square feet and update public benefit payments.

Director's Hearing (Aug. 10)

The Planning Department's Director's Hearing had one new item: Plot Plan No. 230007 for a 3,584-square-foot pre-manufactured metal building for a children's recreational activity center (ages 3-7) on 0.21 acres near Magnolia Avenue and Brotherton Street in Riverside. Staff recommended continuing the item to August 31, 2026.

Riverside County boards weigh $68.9M fire deal, $28M in transport reimbursements

Over the past two weeks, several Riverside County boards and commissions met to consider a range of items, including a $68.9 million fire protection agreement with Lake Elsinore, a $5.6 million state route project, and more than $28 million in transportation reimbursements. It also considered awarding three on-call environmental site assessment contracts totaling $1,000,000 over three years, and discontinuing the French Valley satellite meeting location.
