Senior center funding tabled

The committee voted 4-0 to lay over a $300,000 funding agreement with Living Well Center of Northern Illinois for a senior center at 1111 South Alpine Road. It also laid over a six-year extension of the GoRockford funding agreement to 2034.

Rockford's Planning and Development Committee established a new tax-increment financing district for industrial redevelopment on the city's south side and approved a $300,000 small business rent assistance program at its June 22 meeting, while denying more than $1.2 million in other funding requests.
