Sharonville Council approves CDBG funds ordinance
The Sharonville City Council approved an ordinance accepting Hamilton County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds at its August 11 meeting. The action, taken by the Legislation body, amends appropriations for the 421 CDBG program. No other items were on that agenda.
Council approves CDBG funds
Ordinance 2026-35, approved August 11, accepts Hamilton County CDBG funds, advances funds, and amends appropriations for the 421 CDBG program. The ordinance was the only item on the Legislation agenda. The City Council also held a regular meeting that same day, with the same ordinance listed as a first and only reading with immediate effectivity, meaning it could be voted on at that meeting. Minutes for both meetings have not yet been published.
Other council business
Also on the August 11 City Council agenda were routine reports and proclamations, including a proclamation for Alice Beebe's 100th birthday, presentation of an ESGR Award to the Fire Department, and the Mayor's Court Report for July. Residents were permitted to address council, limited to five minutes per section 121.17.
Zoning board hears variance requests
On August 12, the Board of Zoning Appeals held a public hearing on six variance requests. The board considered extending a temporary sign approval for six months at 11974 Lebanon Road #344 (Mi Tacana Supermarket), allowing trailer storage at 10943 Timberwood Court (David Arthur), eliminating an attached garage use at 3608 Verbena Drive (Brenda and Michael Raymond-Ball), building a 680 sq ft detached garage at 10952 Lemarie Drive (Michael Diaz), and building a detached garage over 600 sq ft at 9952 Jane Court (Steven Ruben). The board also approved minutes from its July 8 meeting.
