Taylor City Council to weigh tax rate, water plan as budget season begins

No final decisions were made at Taylor city meetings over the past two weeks, but officials moved forward on water infrastructure planning and the upcoming budget. The City Council held a special meeting on water and parks infrastructure and a separate budget workshop, while advisory committees reviewed capital improvement plans, zoning changes, and historic preservation work. Water and wastewater planning

At a July 27 special meeting, the City Council heard an update from the Brazos River Authority on long-term water supply projects and considered adopting the Water and Wastewater Master Plan update prepared by HDR Engineering. The council also received an update on the Parks Master Plan and Capital Improvement Plan. No vote was recorded.
