Draper Council Adopts Zoning Change; Property Tax Hearing Set for Aug. 12

Zoning Change Adopted at 265 E. 13275 S.
The City Council adopted Ordinance #1731 on July 22, 2026, changing the zoning designation of approximately 1.08 acres at 265 E. 13275 S. from RA1 (Residential, Agricultural, 40,000 sq. ft. minimum lot size) to RA2 (Residential, Agricultural, 20,000 sq. ft. minimum lot size). The change reduces the minimum lot size allowed on the property. Meeting minutes were not yet published as of this report.
July 21 Public Hearings: Short-Term Rentals and Zoning
The City Council scheduled multiple public hearings for July 21, 2026. Agenda items included:
- **Ordinance #1721**, amending short-term rental rules under DCMC Titles 6 and 9 to require licensing and permits for short-term rentals.
- **Resolution #26-33**, adopting Short-Term Rental Good Neighbor Guidelines.

The commission will also hear a site plan and preliminary subdivision plat for Kimballs Station at approximately 600 E Kimballs Ln., proposing 20 townhome units and 146 condo units in Phase 1.
