Fruit Heights residents will see two multi-family rezoning requests reach a City Council vote on August 4, 2026, following public hearings held by the Planning Commission on July 28. Rezoning votes scheduled for August 4
The City Council will consider and vote on two separate rezoning requests that would allow multi-family residential use at properties on South Main Street and S Lloyd Road.
The first request, submitted by Ryan Ivie, seeks to rezone two parcels at 1207 South Main Street and an adjacent vacant parcel. The proposal would change 0.701 acres from R-S-12 (Residential-Suburban) to R-3 (Multi-Family Residential) and 0.255 acres from C-2 (Commercial) to R-3. The parcel IDs are 08-032-0131 and 08-032-0006.
The second request, from applicant Blox Development, seeks to rezone approximately 0.835 acres at 1112 S Lloyd Road from C-2 (Commercial) to R-3 (Multi-Family Residential). The parcel ID is 08-041-0047.
Both items appeared on the July 28 Planning Commission agenda as public hearings, but minutes from that meeting have not been published.
Other August 4 agenda items
The City Council will also award a bid for the 2026 General Plan Update. Additional discussion items include a compensation study for a pay scale and a transition of billing information from Xpress Bill Pay to Caselle.
Street maintenance bid considered July 21
The City Council agenda for July 21, 2026 included discussion and a vote on awarding a bid for the 2026-2027 Street Maintenance Projects, along with approval of July 7, 2026 meeting minutes. Minutes from the July 21 meeting have not been published, so the outcome of the bid vote is not yet available.
City seeks vendor for 2026 resident survey
Fruit Heights is accepting proposals from vendors to conduct a 2026 City-Wide Resident Survey. The request for proposals (RFP) was advertised July 20, 2026. Proposals are due by August 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM and must be emailed to City Manager Darren Frandsen at [email protected]. Questions from vendors were due by July 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM, with responses posted on the city website. The city reserves the right to cancel or reject any proposals.
Planning Commission also reviewed preliminary plat
The July 28 Planning Commission agenda included a preliminary plat approval item for Oakmont Acres First Amended at 1599 N Oakmont Ln, a review of MIH strategies, and a General Plan discussion. Outcomes are not available pending publication of minutes.
