LaVerkin Council Weighs Merit Pay, Computech Contract; Planning Commission Meeting Canceled

The agenda also included consideration of a contract with Computech, and Proclamation No. 2026-03 declaring September 17-24, 2026, as Constitution Week. The consent agenda included checks and invoices totaling $195,566.60. The agenda also listed an item titled "Introduction of La Verkin Gherkin and public apology."

Planning Commission: Sign Ordinance and other items
At its August 12 meeting, the Planning Commission discussed and possibly set a public hearing for August 26, 2026, regarding the Sign Ordinance. The commission also received presentations and discussed the current Development Agreement and the proposed 2026 Construction Standards and Drawings. The meeting included routine approval of minutes from the July 22, 2026 regular meeting.
