Mantua Town Council revises town hall hours; utility rate increases under consideration
The Mantua Town Council adopted a resolution revising administrative office hours at Mantua Town Hall and held a public hearing on proposed increases to culinary water, garbage, and recycling utility rates during its July 16, 2026, regular meeting.
Town Hall Hours Revised
The council adopted Resolution No. 2026-07-16B, which establishes revised administrative office hours for Mantua Town Hall at 409 North Main Street. Under the resolution, the town hall will be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on every Thursday of each calendar month. Other operating hours remain unchanged. The resolution takes effect immediately upon adoption.
Utility Rate Adjustments Proposed

- **Water tier 1 usage rate:** increase from $1.25 to $1.50 per thousand gallons (10,001-50,000 gallons)
- **Water tier 4 usage rate:** increase from $2.75 to $3.50 per thousand gallons (130,001+ gallons)
- **Garbage collection:** increase from $14.00 to $16.00 per month per can
- **Recycling:** increase from $7.00 to $8.00 per month
The public hearing was held at Mantua Town Hall on July 16, 2026, at 4:30 PM.
