South Ogden Council adopts City Center Plan, development moratorium

The South Ogden City Council on Aug. 18 adopted a new City Center Master Plan and a 180-day moratorium on development applications in four zones, while also approving agreements for a fire engine purchase and other services.

City Center Master Plan

Development moratorium

Ordinance 26-07 establishes a 180-day moratorium on receiving or processing applications for development or planning permits that require approval from the Staff Review Committee. The moratorium applies to the City Center Core, City Center General, Riverdale Road General, and 40th Street General zones.

Planning Commission hearings

On Aug. 13, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the City Center Master Plan draft. The draft plan was available on the city website, and written comments were accepted until 5 p.m. on the hearing date.
