Spring City Reviews Water Moratorium and Subdivisions, But No Decisions Confirmed
Spring City officials turned their attention to water infrastructure, subdivision applications, and pending litigation in late July, but official minutes for all recent meetings have not yet been published. Planning and Zoning Commission
The Spring City Planning and Zoning Commission held a regular meeting on July 22, 2026, at the Spring City Community Center. The meeting was originally scheduled for another date but was rescheduled to Wednesday, July 22, at 6:30 PM. The public was able to observe the meeting via Zoom.
The agenda listed several items for discussion, including the approval of the June 24, 2026 regular meeting minutes. The commission also planned to address subdivision questions for Nancy Allred, as well as subdivisions for Ken Krogue and Martin McCain. A discussion on the General Plan rounded out the agenda. Since minutes have not yet been published, it is not known how the commission acted on these items or if they were tabled.
Spring City Council Work Meeting
On July 30, 2026, the Spring City Council convened a work meeting to review water infrastructure, city ordinances, and several resolutions. The most notable item on the agenda was Resolution 2026-14, a proposed temporary moratorium on new culinary water connections. The council also planned to discuss a water extension for Ashley Webb.
Other resolutions on the agenda included Resolution 2026-08, which addresses the public planning and land use review process; Resolution 2026-12, concerning the process for developing a comprehensive general plan; and Resolution 2026-13, a review of signage and lighting regulations. The council also scheduled a discussion on a Deer Ordinance and a well study. As with the Planning and Zoning meeting, minutes are not yet published, so no decisions are confirmed.
Spring City Council Special Meeting

The agenda included a roll call and a possible closed session to discuss pending litigation. The notice states that entering the closed session requires a two-thirds vote by the council. No other agenda items were listed. Minutes for this special meeting have not yet been published, so it is not known whether the closed session occurred or what was discussed.
