Springdale boards review fee schedule, easement, parking expansion
Springdale's Town Council, Art Review Board, and Planning Commission each met over the past two weeks, but none of the meetings have published minutes yet, so no decisions are final. The agendas included several items that could affect town services, land use, and public art.
Town Council (Aug. 12)
The council held a special meeting that began with a closed session to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation. The open agenda included:
- **Resolution 2026-09** – amending the schedule of fees charged for town services.
- An easement request from Craig Neal to access 117 Quail Ridge Road across town parcel S-161-A-1-C.
- A RAP Tax funding agreement for the Zion Canyon Art Festival.
- **Resolution 2026-10** – adopting an updated code of conduct and rules of procedures.
All items were listed on the agenda; no votes or outcomes have been reported.
Art Review Board (Aug. 17)
The board met at the Canyon Community Center (126 Lion Blvd) for a workshop session on the Draft Public Art Plan. The agenda described this as discussion only, with no action. The board also listed approval of the agenda and the minutes from its July 6 meeting.
Planning Commission (Aug. 19)
The commission met at the Canyon Community Center at 5:00 PM. The main agenda item was a Design Development Review for a parking lot expansion at 50 Zion Park Blvd, requested by Luke Wilson. The commission also listed the oath of office for new Commissioner Katie Munson and approval of minutes from a July 1 special meeting. Post-meeting correspondence from A. Hyatt and P. Campbell regarding the July 1 decision on the same property was also on the agenda.
