Proposed Property Tax Increase (Aug. 4)
The City Council has scheduled a public hearing for August 4, 2026, at 7:30 PM in the City Council Chambers at 1555 S 800 W to receive comments on a proposed increase in property tax revenue for FY2027.
According to the agenda, if approved, the tax on a $543,000 residence would rise from $387.65 to $569.23 per year — an increase of $181.58. The business tax on a $543,000 property would rise from $704.81 to $1,034.96 per year, an increase of $330.15.
