Vermillion officials weigh landfill loan, electrical contracts, and new ward boundaries

Landfill Cell 7 project heads to advisory board with $2.132M loan

The Joint Powers Solid Waste Advisory Board was scheduled June 25 to discuss the Landfill Cell 7 project, which includes a $2.132 million loan at 3.5% for 10 years plus a $568,000 grant. The board was also set to review the landfill lifespan and receive financial reports showing a 2025 operating loss of $157,860 and a May 2026 cash balance of $3.59 million.
