Planning Commission

Zoning Hearing Board

The Abington Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold public hearings on four variance requests, including a continued application for 742 Garfield Avenue and new applications for properties on Orchard Hill Lane, 802 Cedar Rd., and 1614 Old York Rd. Board of Commissioners

Board of Commissioners

Environmental Advisory Council

The Abington Township Environmental Advisory Council will meet to receive committee reports on climate action, energy programs, and sustainability projects. The Environmental Advisory Council approved December 2022 minutes and discussed multiple ongoing initiatives. The council delivered a Single-Use Plastics cover letter and draft ordinance to Township Manager Rich Manfredi on Jan 10, 2023. They also decided to phase out the rain barrel program, using up existing supplies and removing it from township permit applications. No other formal votes or decisions were recorded.

Shade Tree Commission

Human Relations Commission
