Senior Services Advisory Board

The Amherst Senior Services Advisory Board is meeting via Zoom to approve the minutes from its previous meeting and receive reports from the Director and Deputy Director of Senior Services. The agenda also includes updates from the Town Board liaison and from board members on their organizations' activities. This is a routine business meeting with no major decisions or public hearings scheduled.

Historic Preservation Commission

The Amherst Historic Preservation Commission meets to approve past meeting minutes and discuss preservation training, landmark applications, and grant awards. The body reviews updates on potential landmark sites and preservation initiatives.

Planning Board

The Amherst Planning Board will hold public hearings on a proposed solar farm at 595 Schoelles Road, a 26-lot subdivision at 775 Heim Road, and two rezoning requests, including one for Daemen College. One item, an automotive dealership expansion, has been postponed at the petitioner's request. The meeting will be held via Zoom due to COVID-19.

Town Board

The Amherst Town Board is meeting virtually via Zoom due to COVID-19. They will hold public hearings on the FY 2021 Community Development Action Plan, local laws amending zoning administration, building construction, and ethics, and the demolition of 373 Darwin Drive. The board will also consider numerous resolutions, including bond resolutions for Gateway Park and townwide planning, and various contracts and appointments.

Amherst Central Park Task Force

The Amherst Central Park Guidance Task Force meets to review the project timeline and a concept presentation by Dover Kohl for the Amherst Central Park Project. Updates are provided on the Gun Club and Conservancy, and next steps are outlined.

Town Board

The Amherst Town Board is holding its annual organizational meeting, where it will approve a series of resolutions to set up the town for 2021.
