Good afternoon. So great to see you all. Today is Thursday, August 27, 2026. It's now 1 p.m. I call to order this regular meeting of the Fort Bend County Commissioner's Court. Welcome to our courtroom and thank you for joining us to the live stream. Please be wise that we have the presence of a quorum. Please stand and join me with prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank you for the opportunity to gather today in service to the people of Fort Bend County. We ask for your wisdom and guidance as we consider the matters before us. Give us patience to listen, clarity to understand, and the courage to make decisions based on not on what is easiest but on what is right. Help us remember the public service is a responsibility and a privilege. Keep us mindful of the people we serve, the families who depend on county services, the employees who carry out this work every single day, and the taxpayers who entrusted us with their resources. When we disagree, give us respect for each for one another. When decisions are difficult, give us good judgment. And in all that we do today, help us put service above self and the interest of Fort Bend County above our own. We ask for your continual protection over our first responders, our county employees, and all those who serve our community. Bless Fort Bend County, and all who call this home. Amen. Amen. Let's make the pledge to our American friends. I pledge allegiance to the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nati …
