BEDFORD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES BOARD MEETING, JUNE 18, 2026 On Thursday, June 18, 2026, the Bedford County Department of Social Services Board convened. The meeting was held in the DSS Board Room located at 119 East Main Street, Bedford VA. Those members present, representing a quorum were Mrs. Janet Brouhard, Chairman, Mrs. Tina Swanson, Mrs. Georgiann Watts, and Mrs. Tammy Parker. Mrs. Tomi Turner, Assistant Director Il, Mrs. Dannielle Tosh, Assistant Director I, and Ms. Laurie Tyree, Administrative Office Manager, also attended the meeting with Mr. Crawford. Mrs. Brouhard called this meeting to order at 9:32 a.m. Approval of Agenda: After reviewing the Agenda, Mrs. Swanson made motion, seconded by Mrs. Watts, and carried unanimously to approve the agenda for this meeting, with the addition of a personnel matter not related to public business per 2.2-3711(A)(4). Introduction of New Staff: There were no new staff present today for introduction. Public Comment: Mr. Jeff Colley, accompanied by his wife Renee and Mr. and Mrs. William Linkenhoker, made formal complaint regarding the placement of their grandchild. BEDFORD COUNTY ELECTORAL BOARD June 10, 2026 Electoral Board Members present: Chair, Mike Waldmann, Vice Chair, Elizabeth Ehrhorn, and Secretary, Beverly A Padgett. Also in attendance was General Registrar Barbara Gunter. Chairman Waldmann called the meeting to order at 10:00 am Minutes of May 19, 2026 meeting need to be approved. Ehrhorn moved to approve the minutes and Padgett seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. Discussion about Election Management Solutions Software programs was had. Padgett provided the board with additional information about the Intrega Software. Padgett made a motion to go forward with Intrega Software, Ehrhorn seconded. Padgett and Ehrhorn voted for the motion, Waldmann voted against the motion. The motion passed. At 10:30 am Ehrhorn moved that the Board enter closed session to discuss personnel issues. Padgett seconded the motion which passed by unanimous vote. The Board entered closed executive session at 10:31 am. At 11:55 am Ehrhorn moved to reconvene in open session and a vote was taken and unanimously certified that during closed session only public business matters lawfully exempted from open session requirements under Virginia Code and only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the closed session was concerned were heard, were discussed, or were considered.
