Discuss Change Order for Waste Treatment Plant Minutes: Doug Stowe, department head for Water, Waste Water and Public Utilities was asked to speak on the change order from Harper Construction. Doug states that the existing grid equipment including the classifier has not been operational in over 10 years. This change order is to replace the classifier that will make the grid equipment operational. The price of this change order is $208,828.47. DRAFT Cheraw Town Council Personnel Committee Meeting Minutes Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 4:30 pm | Minutes published on 01/22/2026 at 10:11 AM Call to Order Minutes: Meeting called to order by Cherryl Melton. In attendance was Cherryl Melton, Amy Gavin, Jerry Tucker and Brian Rogers. 1. Executive Session Minutes: Jerry made a motion to enter into executive session. Cherryl seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. Entered into executive session at 4:30PM. Personnel For All Departments Minutes: Amy made a motion to exit executive session. Jerry seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. Exited executive session at 5:31pm. The committee made a motion to combine Parks and Grounds and Recreation departments to one department effective February 1, 2026. It was recommended to advertise for the Parks and Recreation Director position as the current Recreation director and the current Parks director positions will be dissolved.
