The Palo City Council met in open session on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Palo Community Center in the Council Chambers. Mayor
Busch led those present in the pledge of allegiance then called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. Council members present: Van
Kerckhove, Taylor Burgin, Doug Hanover, Jen Welton, and Darren Stoltenberg. Others Present: Jennifer Fencl, City Clerk; Clark
Robertson, Public Works; Dan Morgan, City Attorney; and Michelle Cheever, City Engineer. Motioned by Hanover, seconded by
Welton to approve the agenda. 5 Yeas, 0 Nay. Motion carried (5-0). Welton motioned to approve the consent agenda. Burgin
seconded. 5 Yeas, 0 Nay. Motion carried (5-0).
Fencl reported that the FY27 Budget was submitted. There is a P&Z training opportunity on May 26. Robertson reported that LL Pelling
road work is underway and there were around 50 volunteers at Community Impact Day.
Cheever reported that her team is popping manhole covers and found that some are hidden. Letters have gone out for access.
