1 Fire and Rescue Department Update
Deputy Fire Chief Baily gave an update on the Fire and Rescue Department. We have
made the following advancements on our capabilities to provide services to Rio
Rancho:
Liquid Plasma Administration
Finger Thoracostomy ( emergency chest decompression)
Medication - Facilitated Airway Management ( MFAM)
Also, the bid for Fire Station 8 will close on March 26 with groundbreaking ceremony
expected in mid - to - late April. Lastly, Fire Sation 3 apparatus bay addition bid will go out
in the coming weeks. The expected design, engineering and construction cost is
expected to total one million dollars.
