South Tahoe waste authority to consider 2026 rate increase of up to 5.1%
The South Lake Tahoe Basin Waste Management Authority will discuss and possibly recommend a 2026 interim year rate increase for South Tahoe Refuse, based on a Crowe LLP analysis. The proposed increase is 5.10% for the City of South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County, 5.00% for Douglas County, plus an additional 5.08% for SB 1383 organic recycling program implementation.
