The Haverhill License Commission voted unanimously to revoke the liquor license of ACF LLC, doing business as 978 Lounge at 103 Washington Street, after finding that an illegality (drug sale) occurred on the premises on October 31, 2024, while the establishment was on probation. The commission also approved numerous 2025 renewal applications for entertainment, common victualler, outdoor dining, liquor, motor vehicle, and carry-in licenses upon compliance, and granted a new entertainment license to The Lasting Room and a new all-alcohol license to Damgeuda. A show cause hearing against The Fat Greek was dismissed because its license was not renewed.

City Council

The City Council voted 9-0 to refer the Mass Leads Act, a $4 billion state economic development bill, to the Planning and Development Committee for discussion with Haverhill's state delegation. The council also approved a home rule age waiver petition for a police officer candidate, continued a solar field hearing, and placed several union memoranda of agreement on file for 10 days.
