Planning Commission

The Planning Commission is reviewing a request from Rivergrade Holding LLC to convert a static billboard into a digital display billboard. The commission is asked to recommend approval of Development Agreement No. 01-2020 to the City Council.

Parks & Recreation Commission

The Commission will conduct its yearly reorganization to select a Chair and Vice-Chair. Members will also discuss facility rental policies and provide input on park improvements and murals.

City Council

The City Council will hold a public hearing regarding the use of Community Development Block Grant allocations for fiscal year 2024-2025. The body is also considering several contracts and personnel compensation adjustments. A special session is scheduled to discuss litigation, including the case Five Points, LP vs. City of Irwindale.

The Irwindale City Council approved rules to allow remote public participation, including a statement for the presiding officer to read before public comments, on a unanimous roll-call vote with Councilmember Breceda absent. The council also adopted a citywide records retention schedule, a resolution approving the proposed use of the FY 2024-2025 Community Development Block Grant allocation, and a personnel and compensation resolution. It authorized a $84,000 contract with Waterline Technologies, Inc. to replace the commercial pool heater at the Irwindale Aquatics Center, plus a 10% contingency of $8,400. In closed session, the council discussed two litigation matters and took no reportable action.
