The State Advisory Council for the Early Identification of Deaf or Hard of Hearing Infants is convening for its 2nd Quarter meeting on April 23, 2021. Due to COVID-19 public health emergency measures, the meeting will be held via teleconference or video conference.
The Council approved a motion to move forward with the BFH Legislative Policy Proposal to submit recommended law changes for legal review and develop a supporting fact sheet. The meeting also included updates on an in-home screening pilot and early intervention enrollment data.

The Council approved the October 23, 2020 meeting minutes and unanimously supported the content of a new Communications Opportunities brochure for parents of newly identified D/HH children. Program updates included a 92% Hospital Screening Scorecard average and 87.4% for 2019 follow-up data. A follow-up meeting was requested to discuss PPEP enrollment data.
