Civic Affairs, Traffic & Lights & Cemetery

The committee approved the previous month's meeting minutes and recommended that the Common Council grant a parking permit for a specific vehicle on a city tree lawn. The committee also discussed the possibility of adding cautionary signs on Pine Beach Road and Lincoln Street.

Common Council

The Common Council approved an award from the State of Wisconsin Department of Justice Body-worn Cameras Grant Program. The council also convened a closed session to discuss litigation strategy regarding Case No. 21-CV-238.

Room Tax Commission

Planning Commission

The Plan Commission approved a site plan for a building addition at Kwik Trip and authorized the issuance of a building permit. The commission also approved site plans and sign permits for Krist Convenience Store and Hurckman Mechanical. No action was taken regarding Building Inspector Fee Structures.

Common Council

Water Utility & Wastewater Commission

The Water and Wastewater Utility Commissions approved their respective 2023 budgets. The joint commission also voted to extend the emergency repairs contract for the Sanitary Sewer and Water System by one year.

Planning Commission

The Plan Commission approved a conditional use permit for the City of Marinette to construct a multiple family residence on parcel #251-00161.003. The property is located in a B-4 Highway Business Zoned District. The commission found the project met all required standards for public health, safety, and zoning compatibility.

Personnel & License Committee

The Personnel & License Committee recommended 2023 pay increases of 5% for hourly employees and 4% for pay-for-performance employees. The committee also recommended a new pay grade for the Building Inspector and the removal of certain fire department roles from the performance pay system.

Planning Commission

The Plan Commission met for a special session to review a site plan for a building addition and remodel. The commission approved the plan submitted by Pride Builders II for the property at 1616 Marinette Avenue.
