Personnel & License Committee

Water Utility & Wastewater Commission

The joint Water and Wastewater Utilities Commissions will discuss transferring unused 2024 road project funds to 2025 and adding a wastewater employee. Common Council

The Marinette Common Council will hold a special meeting to discuss and possibly act on relocation options for the Police Department and City Hall, presented by Alliance Construction. No other substantive items are on the agenda.

The Public Safety & Code Enforcement Committee unanimously recommended that the Common Council approve a contract with Flock Safety for safety cameras, with costs shared with the county and cameras placed to cover all city access points. The committee also approved the November 18 meeting minutes and received activity reports from police, fire, building inspection, and animal control. No other substantive decisions were made.

The City Engineer has recommended authorizing Wisconsin Public Service to add a street light at the Ogden Street crossing to improve safety for Waupaca Foundry employees.

Planning Commission

The Marinette Plan Commission will consider and possibly recommend to the Common Council amendments to the zoning district map for two parcels in the Menekaunee Harbor area. One parcel, city-owned, would change from P-1 Park District to B-1 with Waterfront Overlay for a marina, and another parcel owned by Harbor Town Marine would change from R-2 to B-1 with Waterfront Overlay for a marina.

This is a rescheduled special Common Council meeting due to a prior lack of quorum.
