The Rothsay Areawide EDA held a special meeting and a regular meeting on January 15, 2025. City Council

The Rothsay City Council approved several resolutions and purchases, including a $90,000 charitable gambling donation for fire department tools and auto extrication equipment, and up to $8,000 for new Milwaukee tools. They also approved a $3,000 well inspection, up to $1,500 for gas monitors, and a $67,011 payment from LMC. The council changed its meeting schedule to the first Monday of the month starting in March and set future agenda items for zoning, water/sewer rates, and cannabis ordinance review.
