Mount Airy public meetings in 2022

Town Council

The Mount Airy Town Council will hold public hearings on three ordinances: one changing MXD (Mixed Use Development) zone provisions, and two to convey town-owned property in exchange for land to design and construct a roundabout. The council will also consider an annexation resolution, a charter amendment, bond releases for Chick-fil-A and Twin Ridge Professional Park, a road transfer on Brittany Manor Road, and a water main design award for Prospect Road.

Planning Commission

The Commission approved final site plans for two industrial projects and recommended a special exception for a fuel station. A proposed expansion for CubeSmart Mini-Storage was not approved due to a lack of a second motion. The Commission also elected its Chairperson and Vice Chairperson.

Town Council

The Mount Airy Town Council will hold a public hearing on Annexation Resolution 2022-45. The council will also consider ten ordinances and one resolution, and may close part of the meeting to discuss acquiring property on Park Ridge Drive.
