Contract Review Committee, Human Services

The Nantucket Contract Review Committee will hold a meeting on September 19, 2024 to establish quorum, approve the agenda, and review minutes from previous meetings. Council on Aging

Parks and Recreation Commission

The Parks and Recreation Commission will approve the agenda and minutes from the August 15 meeting. Commissioners will consider a request from the Nantucket Atheneum to use Children’s Beach on November 28, 2024 for the 23rd Annual Cold Turkey Plunge. The meeting will also include updates on the tennis court project and maintenance of the Children’s Beach lawn and playground.

Tree Advisory Committee

The Nantucket Tree Advisory Committee will discuss several old‑business items, including a pre‑hearing on the Chinese Elm removal request at 18 Back St., updates on beech leaf disease, tree mapping, West Creek elms, and a stump‑grinding contract. New business will cover Catalpa trees on Warren St., a horsechestnut at the Town Information Center, and locations for fall tree planting.
